A drip brewer, a French press, and an espresso machine all ask for different particle sizes because they move water through coffee in different ways. If your coffee tastes sour, weak, bitter, or muddy, grind size is often the first thing worth adjusting before you start changing everything else.

How to Dial In Your Grind at Home
The fastest way to improve coffee at home is to adjust one variable at a time. If your brew tastes off, change the grind before changing the dose, water temperature, or brew ratio.
